Cristiano Ronaldo Re-signs for Manchester United

After the transfer of Lionel Messi from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, it was expected that Cristiano Ronaldo would move to Manchester City before the transfer window closes. However, recent headlines turned the table around when Man United re-signed Ronaldo.

 

As per the media reports, Juventus superstar and Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo planned to move to Manchester City. Ronaldo, a legend of Juventus club, showed his interest in shifting despite his contract's expiry date is after a year.

 

Assumptions related to the transfer of Ronaldo became prominent when the bench of Juventus named him in the opener of the Serie A season. On the contrary, some of the reports stated that this outstanding athlete himself requested the club to put him on the bench for the sake of his career ahead. It is believed that the deal for Man City was offered to Ronaldo by his agent, Jorge Mendes.

 

As per transfer specialist Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Ronaldo explored the new options, and PSG was one of his destinations. Parisians were already out of the picture after they transferred Lionel Messi to their club. At the same time, Ronaldo ruled out Real Madrid after clarifying that his chapter in Spanish Capital is over. After all the calculations and considering the finances involved with Man City, Ronaldo considered the club as the most feasible option.
